What to bring:
-5 Different Colours (MUST BRING!!) Can be any kind of colour - colour pencils, felt tip markers, crayons, watercolour. -- if they can dry, it's up to the students to do what they want.
- Identification cards as well
Please wear school uniform.
Payment:
- A booth will be set up inside the Earth-lab where schools can make their payments and collect their receipts for claiming purposes.
- Cash payment is acceptable at the booth.
- Payment is $60 for each team.
Exam Format:
1st part of MCQ - 34 questions of which students will be tested on both physical and human aspects of Geography ( in general).
Structured questions - 2 questions (1 physical geog qn and 1 human geog qn)
Please answer ALL questions.
Application Question (AQ) - will be based on the theme of tourism.
Note: This section is merely a test of the students' creativity and ability to apply concepts learnt in school.
Timeline:
7.45am Registeration (outside LT 11)
8.30am Opening and Welcome address (LT 11)
9.00am End of Opening and Welcome address (Transition to start of Prelim Rounds)
9.15am MCQ Round begins (LTs 9 to 11) / Teachers' Talks and Refreshments (Earth Lab)
10.45am MCQ Round ends
11.00am Intermission (Refreshment is provided for students outside the various LTs)
12.00pm AQ Round begins
1.00pm AQ ends
1.15pm Creative Component briefing and speech by sponsor
2.00pm Dismissal
Teachers are welcome to accompany the teams.
